Since the official inception of Dama Asia in 1994, Kai Loon directed over 30 productions, including musicals, musical concerts and operas.

He is also the programme director and workshop conductor of various theatre education-related programmes. They include Young Artists’ Musical Theatre Programme (Malaysia); HOG Musical Production-Oriented Training Education (China), and Uni-Arts Children Education Through Musical Theatre (China). He has also conducted drama workshops for NGOs and schools as well as at Helen O’Grady Drama Academy, Guangzhou and University Of Posts And Telecommunications, Chongqing.

He collaborated with Seng Chew in running the international showcase series at the Theatre Lounge Café. His producing and presenting credits include musicals, operas, plays and music, performed by both local and international artists.

Kai Loon also spoke at international musical theatre conferences and summits, 35th Shanghai Spring International Music Festival - Musical Development Forum 2018, International Musical Industry Summit Forum 2018 and The Asian Musical Trends Forum 2016. He also gave a talk on producing to post-graduates reading the Masters in Creative Producing at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London.

In the Online Performing Arts Development Summit 2020 in Shanghai, Kai Loon hosted the forum discussion with Freddie Gershon, the Co-Chairman and Drew Cohen, the CEO of Music Theatre International, US as well as the talk presentations by Julian Bird, the CEO of the Society of London Theatre and Robert Nederlander, Jr. the President of Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment.

A former co-founder of Popular Experimental N’ Theatrical Arts (PENTAS) English based theatre group in the 1980s, he studied acting at the Drama Centre, Kuala Lumpur and had performed in Enemy of the People, 1984 - Here and Now, The School of The School of The Night Improvisation, House Of Thousand Planks and Inch By Inch. He graduated with a BA (Hons), Sheffield University; MSc, London School of Economics; and MBA (Finance), Hull University.

他曾担任花旗银行副主席及投资总监。他曾为Euromoney’s ISI Emerging Markets杂志写作文章，还曾在新加坡SIM大学为分析师培训计划讲座。启伦持有伦敦经济学院硕士学位及赫尔大学工商管理财政系硕士学位(MBA )。
