A co-founder of Dama Asia, Boon We is the resident concert master for all its musical theatre and concert shows. He has previously headed the orchestra works and performances of Dama Asia following its official inception in 1994.

A leading sessionist and the former National Erhu Instrumental Champion in Malaysia, Boon We’s cross-cultural music portfolio includes the Gambus Musical Fusion concerts and award-winning Yamaha Electone-Gao Hu composition concerts as well as international music festivals – the likes of WOMAD Singapore, Rainforest World Music Festival, Suzhou Silk And Bamboo Music Festival, Volvo World Music Festival and Esplanade Hua Yue Singapore Fest. He has played in several other musical productions, including Reunion and The King and I.

Boon We is also the audio recording producer for all of Dama Asia’s recordings, including the albums of Spring Kisses Lover's Tears, Scent Of Autumn Rain, Fragrance Of The Night, September Tale, The Moon Speaks For My Heart, Butterfly Lovers and Empress Wu, as well as the music video production of Journey On One For All and the Chinese New Year music video Blessings.
