Yue Opera may not be as well-known as Beijing Opera or even Cantonese Opera, but it is in fact the second most popular opera genre in China which originated from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. To offer Chinese opera fans a taste of this unique art form, Beijing Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe will be coming to Malaysia to present three excerpts from 'Butterfly Lovers', a most well-known Chinese Opera that is based on a Chinese folklore of tragic love story between Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. The award winning Yue Opera Troupe has won several prizes in China, including "The Best Production" an
"The Best Performers" in 2012 by actors Cheng Yuanna and Zhao Danyu. Their debut workshop perfor-mance at TLC looks set to be an eye-opening and fascinating show that's not to be missed!
